We grow some of the finest lettuce in the world! Our lettuce is produced in Hydroponics. When you buy hydroponic lettuce with the roots intact you get a longer shelf life and the taste is superb ! The product is never sprayed or treated with any type of chemicals. We use an integrated pest management system consisting of Lady Bugs, Praying Mantis and Tree Frogs.
We have 2 type of Red Loose Leaf, a Green Loose Leaf, 2 types of Bibb and 3 different "Kings" of lettuce: ROMAINE. Our fancy gourmet lettuce has been used as centerpieces during banquets and catering services as "food art".  Seeing is believing. We have a small growing unit on display each Saturday at the Farmers Market and you can "pick" your own.  For the commercial trade, we grow Basil in hydroponics.

Hydroponic tomatoes are grown outside and not in a greenhouse. Although grown at our home, we plan to move the large unit to our grounds before next winter. Our tomatoes are not a greenhouse type; we use the old familiar varieties that do well in this area and have that wonderful flavor.

In the spring we carry bedding plant for both vegetable and flower plants.  Look for several varieties of tomato and pepper plants.

Herbs are a very good seller and we have a very nice selection.  We have both perennial and annual plants.  Some of our perennial plants include:  Rosemary, Oregano (Greek, Italian, and Golden), Sage (Berggarten, Garden, Purple, and Tricolor), Thyme (Lemon and Silver), and Winter Savory.

Ann, has added a beautiful collection of hardy ferns to our inventory this year. These ferns are from the Casa Flora collection and have been selected for our zone. She has a wide variety not normally seen around this area. All the ferns are in the trade gallon size and will be ready after May 1st, 2008.

We are open to the public but are still working on setting our Greenhouse hours. If you would like to come by or have a tour, please call as we are happy to show you around the hydroponic operation. Of course, you can purchase plants and lettuce while you're here..

This year we plan to add two new greenhouses. One will be for all the ferns, bedding plants, etc. The other one will be dedicated for the growing of small gourmet cucumbers.
