Sat. May 3rd was another  good day!  Weather was lousy, wind blowing and cool to cold!  The weather hurt attendance BUT, the people who came had money and spent very well.
The market was again full of flowers, plants and baked goods of all kinds. Of course, lettuce and greens were available as was canned goods which included jams, jellies and other items. A good selection of veggie plants prevailed. Radishes and onions were everywhere. The strawberries did not pan out as the vendor sold them in the field before they could get to market. Good for the vendor, but bad for us at the market.

Wed May  7th was our first Wed sales for the year. Not many vendors were in attendance and the customers were scarce to say the least. Advertisements were heavy for this day but did not seem to pan out for us. Wednesdays usually are slow this time of year until the customer base learns we are open. Strawberries were at 3 to 4 vendors. They looked great and sold for $10.00 to $12.00 a gallon. 2 vendors sold out by mid-morning (the $10.00/gal).
